Travelling directly to the arena on the Zwölferkogel with public transport is really easy and free of charge within the provice of Salzburg for World Champs ticket holders on the day of validity

Free Shuttle from Maishofen

The free World Championships shuttle runs on race days between Maishofen-Saalbach railway station,  the World Championships P&R in Maishofen and the Hinterglemm bus terminal. Demand-orientated capacity management ensures the shortest possible waiting times. The WM Shuttle runs in the following time periods. An earlier arrival is possible free of charge with bus 680 and ski busses, which stop at all stations alongside the road.

 
  • 4 February: 12:00 to 21:00 h
  • 6 & 8 February: 09:00 to 23:00 h
  • 7 & 9 February: 09:00 to 21:00 h
  • 11 & 13 February: 07:00 to 23:00 h
  • 12, 14, 15, & 16 February: 07:00 to 21:00 h

  • During the World Championships, the entire ski area will be open as normal, including the Zwölferkogel.

Early start during the World Ski Champs

  • Lifts in the entire Skicircus which are needed to reach the Zwölferkogel will start operating at 07:30 h from 6 to 16 February.

Ski depot

  • A ski depot is available in the arena area where you can store your equipment during the races.

The distances are short. Choose the best way to combine your skiing fun with the World Ski Championships experience and get to the Zwölferkogel via the ski resort or use the free ski buses and shuttles.

  • Lifts in the entire Skicircus which are needed to reach the Zwölferkogel will start operating at 07:30 h from 6 to 16 February.

Travel by public transport to one of the valley stations in the Skicircus or to the Hinterglemm bus terminal.

 

Arrival with a private car

There is a limited amount of parking spaces for day ski guests at lift stations available. The free World Champs car park in Maishofen with free shuttle connection is also available for you. There are no other visitor car parks available in Saalbach Hinterglemm.

100 % World Ski CHampionships 

We recommend that World Championships fans and party people and all those travelling exclusively for the races of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2025 to arrive by public transport (free of charge within the provice of Salzburg for WC ticket holders) directly to the Hinterglemm bus terminal. From here, you can continue on foot through the fancy fan mile to the arena on the Zwölferkogel.

 

If you arrive by private car, please use the free large World Champs car park in Maishofen with free World Cup shuttle connection. There are no other visitor car parks available in Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Exclusive boarding and alighting point: Hinterglemm bus terminal

  • Bus turnaround area available
  • Passengers walk from here approx. 10 minutes through the fan mile to the finish stadium at the 12er KOGEL 
  • Location on Google Maps

Free bus parking spaces

  • Staff at the bus terminal will provide up-to-date information on which car park can be used
  • The bus parking spaces are located at the end of the valley or in Maishofen - a space will be allocated depending on capacity utilisation
  • Free shuttle connection from the Lengau bus stop (300 m from the car park) or Maishofen
