Climate friendly travel
NEW: As of 1 May 2025, all guests in the provice of Salzburg will receive the Guest Mobility Ticket upon Check-In at their accommodation. This allows the the use of all public transport within Salzburg - regardless of the JOKER CARD - during their stay. If you would like to use the Guest Mobility Ticket within Salzburg for your journey to Saalbach Hinterglemm, please let your accommodation know so that you can register before your arrival. You can then retrieve your Guest Mobility Ticket in the Home of Lässig app.
Stress-free, inexpensive and environmentally friendly: Travelling by train is the perfect start to a relaxing holiday. From a nearby train station in Zell am See, you can get to Saalbach Hinterglemm comfortably and in an environmentally friendly way by public bus.
Within Austria, from Bavaria and Switzerland to Zell am See, there are uncomplicated and inexpensive fares via ÖBB. From Vienna, for example, you can travel to Zell am See with the ÖBB Sparschiene from just € 24.90, from Munich even from € 17.90 and from Zurich from € 49.90.
Arrive at your holiday destination in your sleep
For a longer journey, we recommend the extensive network of Nightjets, which will take you to Innsbruck or Salzburg while you sleep and in comfort - breakfast included. From there you can reach Zell am See by regional express.
And from Zell am See to Saalbach?
For the last few metres from the nearest train station in Zell am See to Saalbach Hinterglemm, there are either free* public buses available or you can take a taxi (they are ususally waiting outside the station) that will take you directly to the hotel. If you arrive with light luggage and a ready-to-go bike, you can reach Saalbach via the Tauern and Glemmtal cycle paths.

Too much luggage?
There are two options available in this instance:
Either you have your suitcases conveniently collected from home and delivered to Saalbach Hinterglemm with the Austrian Federal Railways, Swiss Federal Railways or German Railways luggage services or you simply rent the sports equipment of your choice from one of our many bike and ski rental shops.
Mobility in resort
- NEW: As of 1 May 2025, all guests in the provice of Salzburg will receive the Guest Mobility Ticket upon Check-In at their accommodation. This allows the the use of all public transport within Salzburg - regardless of the JOKER CARD - during their stay.
- In the winter season: Use the ski bus free of charge daily from 08:30 to 17:00 with a valid lift ticket. This service operates between Lengau - Hinterglemm - Saalbach - Jausern - Viehhofen every 20 to 30 minutes. Those who would like to go to a restaurant or bar in the evening or ski on the floodlit piste can use local taxi companies.
- At any time of year a continuous hiking and biking trail runs through the entire Glemm Valley - from Lengau to Maishofen.
Taking bicycles on buses and trains
Bicycles can generally not be taken on public busses. On the train, depending on the provider, bicycles need a separate ticket.
International Train information
Direct Train Connection from southern Sweden and Denmark
- Right on track to the Alps with the new Snälltaget connection from Malmö, Hoje Taastrup, Odense & Kolding to Zell am See. From the train station in Zell am See there's an hourly bus connection to Saalbach Hinterglemm (line 680).
