Trail News: Shape It!
No sooner has winter whispered "goodbye" and our shapers are out and about and are just as excited about the upcoming biking season as you are. With vibrating plates, heavy equipment and skilled manual skills, they are preparing the trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm for the opening on the 21st of May.
While the snow is still clinging to some peaks, the trails on the "Sunnseit" (as the sunny northern slopes of the Glemmtal are called) will soon be ready to shred.
In autumn 2020, all the trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm were already completely renovated by Shape Syndicate. Now all that's missing is the finishing touches and one or two new, playful elements.
In this photo story, we give you a glimpse behind the scenes of the trails.
BLUE LINE
There is once again a lot of activity on the Blue Line. The berms are getting a facelift, the northshore in front of the big wooden berm is being completely rebuilt and in general the line will be "licked" into shape by the time it opens.
PRO LINE
Evil Eye fans watch out! The northshores on the Pro Line will be completely renewed in the course of the 2021 season. In addition, improvements have been made in many places.
NEW: Learn to Ride Park
From summer 2021, it will be easy to get get into and enjoy the coolest summer sport in the Alps. The reason being, on the Turmwiese, right next to the Kohlmaisbahn, a Learn to Ride Park with mini versions of the most popular trails of Saalbach Hinterglemm will be created. With the magic carpet, you can easily reach the entrances of the Little Monti, the Little Pro Line, the Little Panorama and even the small version of the legendary (Little) Hacklberg.
With lengths between 180 and 340 metres, beginners can make their first attempts at biking on gentle terrain - without the inhibition of having to ride down a 2,000-metre peak. The offer on the Turmwiese in Saalbach is rounded off with a 100 m long circuit.
The use of the Learn to Ride Park and the accompanying magic carpet is free of charge.
