Get up early and head for the mountain: that's the motto for sun skiing. Some lifts start at 8 a.m. as part of the early start. Especially in late winter: Those who get to the mountain earlier get more out of the day!
When the perfect piste conditions in the mornings start to wane as the day's temperatures rise, Saalbach Hinterglemm has a joker at the ready: thanks to the east-west orientation of the Glemmtal valley, there is a sunny side and a shady side. If the pistes on the sunny side become soft in the course of the day, simply switch to the shady side and continue to enjoy slopes in a good condition.
Of course, we don't forget about the relaxed part: That is the cosy afternoon on the sun terrace of one of the ski huts in the ski area - is just as much a part of perfect late winter day as the skiing pleasure before it. See you on the slopes & in the hut!
