SH 04 - Bergstadl tour

Technically easy loop with refreshment stops.

The Bergstadl loop first leads into the valley and turns left at the state road to the Zwölferkogel cable car.

The asphalt road leads into a compact gravel road that follows the Schwarzachergraben. After 1.5 km there is a turnoff to the left. Here the forest road winds in serpentines through forests and lush meadows to the Westgipfelbahn middle station. Immediately afterwards, the Bergstadl mountain inn is a good place to stop for refreshments. The forest road continues downhill on a moderate gradient.

Alternatively, you can ride the moderately difficult Buchegg trail, which rejoins the Bergstadl loop at the Gerstreitalm. After a descent through meadow areas, you reach an asphalt road again that leads back to the starting point.
