SAAC Woman Power Camp

Girls, this is your chance! Show the boys that you know at least as much about freeriding as they do and come to the SAAC Woman Power Camps.

The SAAC girls Susi, Sofia and Christine are three of only around 35 female mountain guides in Austria. There are more than 2,000 of their male colleagues. Susi, Sofia and Christine will accompany you into the terrain in their own groups at our Woman Power Camps and will be on hand to answer all your questions about avalanches and alpine risks. There certainly won't be any macho behaviour, and if you're not a freeride pro, it doesn't matter. You'll just be amongst yourselves for a day. Take the opportunity and get a few helpful tips from the girls on how you can leave the boys standing in the powder next time, risk-consciously.

At the camps labelled Woman Power, you as a girl get a camp spot first. Only when more than twenty women have signed up will the boys get their turn.

Bring along: Ski or snowboard equipment, rucksack, if you have: avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe

Lift ticket: You can find out how much you have to pay for the lift ticket in advance on the page of the respective camp and when you register. Unfortunately, we cannot refund lift tickets that have already been paid if you do not take part.
